The story of this coffee begins in the steep mountains of Santa Maria, in western Huila, Colombia's largest coffee production center. It is nourished by the fertile volcanic soil in the shadow of Nevado del Huila, the country's highest volcano.

The high altitude of the mountains balances the heat of the day with the sharp coolness of the night, allowing the coffee cherries to ripen slowly and thoroughly. This slow process brings that intense sweetness and astonishingly complex aromas to the cup.

Huila has gained worldwide fame for this quality, won numerous "Cup of Excellence" awards, and officially received a Denomination of Origin status in 2013.

Diego and his family are modern representatives of this tradition. Diego, who set out in 2013 with the dream of producing high-quality coffee, turned all his focus to coffee after finishing school to secure his family's future.

Today, Diego is not just a farmer; in his own shop, he continues to take ownership of every stage of his labor as both a cupping expert and a master barista.
