Ethiopia Bochesa Anaerobic Natural
Some of you will remember Bochesa Natural from last year, which captivated everyone with its sweetness and fresh berry notes!
Now we are offering this coffee processed by fermenting the coffee beans with their own fruit in an "Anaerobic" environment. Bright and rich cups await you!
Located on the eastern border of Sidama, adjacent to Bensa, Arbegona is an area hidden among the clouds. The cool plateaus, approximately 2200 meters above sea level, are a true high-altitude paradise where coffee presents its purest and most distinctive form.
Although coffee plays the leading role in these lands, the fertile nature of Arbegona hosts all kinds of beauty, from sugarcane to enset (Abyssinian banana), from aromatic spices to fresh vegetables.
This special flavor in your cup represents a very special selection brought together by the handiwork of local producers from the small, boutique farms surrounding Arbegona.
Arbegona is a district in the Sidama region. The average elevation above sea level in the area is 2,200 meters.
Although Abyssinian bananas, sugar cane, various vegetables and spices are grown in the region, the main product grown is coffee.
This coffee is made up of coffees grown by various local farmers on small plots around Arbegona. The coffees are brought to the "Bochesa Station" owned by Asefa Dukamo Korma and processed there.
The average drying time of coffee cherries under the sun with continuous rotation takes 12-15 days depending on temperature and humidity. After drying, the coffee beans are kept in the station's warehouses for a while for flavor development before being separated from the cherry.
