El Porvenir farm is located in the Huila region, which is the largest coffee producer in Colombia. The Huila region is on the edge of Nevado del Huila, Colombia's highest volcanic mountain.

The fertile and mineral-rich soil, altitude and intense sunlight provided by this mountainous terrain contribute to the coffee ripening slowly and reaching a dense, sweet and complex structure.

The type of coffee we bring you is Castillo. This type is a hybrid of Caturra and Timor types. It was first named and released in 2005 by researcher Jamie Castillo.

The characteristic structure of this species stands out with its high density (density), large-sized coffee cherries, citric acidity and resistance to the disease called 'leaf rust', which is common in coffee trees.
